You're right in 99%, you just failed once. He won't run underground. Slums where Chendi pavilion will be built will make the rest of the kingdom like slums compared to it. Slums will become dream place of everyone, including royalty. And unlike shady underground bosses, everyone will know who rules the prosperity. Hell, in novel there is even royal announcement of how they became minor owners of Chendi pavilion under Qin Chen in order to provide stability from outside (translation... they sold them selves for 10% of income as underdogs, but that 10% is like 100x more than their annual income).

This arc sounds amazing.

It is a sign on how plot doesn't take singular path. So, yea... you could call it nice plot twist. MC really does use everything depending on occasion to win... brains, brawn, massacre, being goody two shoes, even being shameless and tyranny is put in use. It is definitely one of top CMA novels I've read simply because of this versatile MC character

Well, novel really doesn't have arcs, at least not normal as they intertwine one with another. At best one could separate the story in
- introduction (up to 5 kingdom competition)
- 3 intertwining plots of revenge, ancient war and (well, you could call it like that) chess game (3 players and Qin Chen try moving the mortal continent into the their own winning position, but the catch is that it is really hard to guess relationship between 3 opponents) for the mortal continent
- sneaking into lower divine realm and war to prevent further dangers on mortal continents (this is really the resolution of ancient war between demons and humans and you learn why demons attacked in the first place. Fun question? Were demons really bad guys?)
- becoming famous in divine realm and war with another universe (the real trigger which caused lower divine realm to start causing problems on mortal continents)
- transcendence (novel is just reaching this part) where the answers are

And there are whole time 3 common questions. Who the fuck is Qin Chen (plot says he was actually born twice to be reincarnated into himself)? Who the fuck is his father? Why did his father set his path like he did?

This novel has 5000+ chapters, even though I have not read it yet. In what chapter are we in now? Chapter 500?

But, if you plan on reading it, I'd suggest you start from scratch. Many things lack explanation and details in animation and might make reading problematic. Those are not the problem of animation as it can present differently when needed, but it would clash with what is written. Although the same thing, it really isn't.

Like for example, animation completely cut out one of his friends and only showed in college Lin Tian. Pretty much wherever he is, that friend is too.

If this one threatened to destroy Dawei, his next move will be complete opposite... only distinction is that it will only be friend benefits and enemy suffering. This will also ruin decades of planing from families and royal opposition and change their plans into reckless motions

Hmm, while I checked something for question above, I saw I made a little mistake. I forgot that before making that next move with royal family and land, he still makes one tyranical/insidious move when crushing Leng finances and economy completely. That is also one of better political moments in story... short, sweet and funny. If 3 letters were powerful... you'll see how powerful will be trash grass, lol
